Top 5 News and Magazines Apps on Android in Uruguay, Q3 2024

During the third quarter of 2024, the top five News and Magazines apps on the Android platform in Uruguay demonstrated varied performance trends, as captured by Sensor Tower data.

Hindi News by Dainik Bhaskar showed a fluctuating pattern in downloads, peaking at around 334 in late August, before tapering off to 226 by the end of September. The app maintained a relatively stable base of weekly active users, ranging from 6.8K to 7.6K throughout the quarter.

The Way2News Daily News App experienced a notable decline in weekly downloads, starting at 241 in early July and gradually decreasing to 52 by the end of September. Despite this, the app's weekly active users remained fairly consistent, hovering around 19K to 24K during the same period.

Dailyhunt Xpresso News Cricket recorded an upward trend in downloads, beginning with 91 and reaching a high of 214 in early September. The weekly active users followed a similar positive trajectory, increasing from 18.8K to a peak of 20.6K at the end of August before slightly declining towards the quarter's close.

Shuru:Public News & Local News witnessed modest fluctuations in downloads, with the highest count at 148 in early September. The app's active user base remained stable, ranging between 2.4K and 2.9K over the quarter.

Lastly, Google News - Daily Headlines showed a downward trend in downloads, starting at 145 in early July and decreasing to 41 by the end of September. Despite the decline in downloads, the app's weekly active users demonstrated stability, fluctuating slightly around 2.6K to 3.1K throughout the quarter.
